Happy Blessed Thanksgiving!!!!
This day and age, the body of Christ as a whole, are facing many many challenges and at times, are afflicted on many different levels on all sides. From what I’m seeing, many people are going through straight spiritual warfare.
The Lord wants to encourage us today and re-shift our focus.
Mark 4: 35-41 says,
“That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
One of the Elder’s in our church made a powerful proclamation during Sunday service, “if we find ourselves in the middle of a storm, if Jesus is in the boat with us, the boat WILL NOT sink.”
Today, no matter where we find ourselves, He’s calling us to focus on what’s right, His blessings, His promises and most importantly, His Presence. Emmanuel, The Lord our God is with us and He says, “Peace Be Still!”
Have a beautifully blessed Thanksgiving, On Purpose, No Matter What, Counting all your blessing, naming them one by one and giving Glory to God in Christ Jesus!
