To recap from the previous post “RISE!” Part 2, John 5:5-9 says, “Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.
“Jesus said to him, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk.’ And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.”
The Lord wanted to give us some insight to this scripture and how it applies to us:

“Why did I ask him ‘Do you want to be made well?’ Wasn’t it apparent he wanted to be made well, he sat there all those years waiting for the angel to stir the water so he could get in and be healed? Why did I ask him ‘Do you want to be made well?’
“First, his ‘handicap’ was the primary FOCUS of his life…he put all his attention and energies towards fixing his hanicap which made him cripple…he didn’t lift his eyes to the One who could truly help him. Second, he was consumed by His problem. His problem CONTROLed everything he did. He dedicated his life trying to remedy his handicap. Third, he went on to BLAME others why his problem wasn’t fixed. He expected people to help Him and when they didn’t, they were the sole reason why He couldn’t get healed. Fourth, he LACKED FAITH and allowed discouragement and self-pity to rule his heart and mind. For without faith, it is impossible to please Me.
The scripture goes on:
John 5:14
…afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, ‘Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.’
“Fifth, that man still had sin in His life. To outsiders, he was a cripple and needed help, but I look at the heart and I was calling him to repentance. I saw what others didn’t see and was holding him accountable in private. My people can truly find the healing that’s needed if they stop sinning and do the very things they know, and I know, I’m calling them to do…without it, they will continue in their crippled state and far worse will and can happen if they do not repent.
“In my mercy, in spite of his condition and hidden sin in his life, I had mercy and healed him anyway. I declared for that man to ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk.’ In spite of his past or current condition of lying in his infirmity, He had to be brave, step out on faith and willing to be obedient to my command to receive My healing. I gave a Word, he followed, and he rose from his own grave…from death to life.
“I asked that man “Do you want to be made well?” for I was calling him to refocus on Me. To this point, he hadn’t shown me, other than trying to fix the situation himself, he wanted my help.
“Are YOU willing to sacrifice and do what I’m calling you to do to be free even if it cost you something?
“I don’t cause my people to live like that…crippled and out of purpose and my will…if I allow a pro-longed season of suffering to occur, there is a purpose…but everyone, EVERYONE, has the right and ability to chose HOW they go through their process…and in spite of…they can still find me, my will, my purpose for their lives…I don’t cause people to SIT in their disability…I call people to RISE in the midst of it.
“I came that you may have life and have it to the full…MY PEOPLE…you’re capable in Me and through My sacrifice on the cross to rise out of your ashes…but you have to seek me with all of your heart…all of your mind…all of your soul. I can fix your broken places…I can fix what’s wrong on the inside so you can begin to behave as victors on the outside…But you have to want it…you have to pray for courage and BE BRAVE…if you’re afraid…tell me and believe that I’ll fight and help deliver you…But YOU MUST RESOLVE TO FIGHT UNTIL YOU WIN and LET NOTHING STOP YOU!
“Are YOU that crippled man?
“Is there something you’re trying to accomplish and can’t? Are their places you want to go but can’t seem to get there? Is there a healing that passes you by because you’re crippled and miss the timing? Are you waiting for something to happen ‘TO YOU’ that can help you get where you’re trying to go?
“Give me and all of the host of heaven a reason to come to your aid to help you. No matter what binds you…you still have power to chose…
“I know my people are suffering from afflictions that devastated them…my heart sorrows with you and I desire to comfort you…I long to comfort you.
“But now it’s time…it’s time to stop mourning and I have called my people to RISE!
“You RISE by determining in your mind that you’ll seek me about that ‘thing’ you’re avoiding…you’ve convinced yourself that ‘time’ will heal it…Only I can heal and restore all things that are broken. If there’s a part of your life, a memory or event that happened to you and you can’t talk or think about, it’s time to stop running, come to me so I can heal you. The one who’s stealing must steal no longer.
“Do you want to be made well?
“In these last days, there is an urgency for my people to be in position. You don’t have long to make things right. The enemy is coming to kill, steal and destroy. Be under my covering and don’t be left behind when I move mightily upon the earth. You’ll never be able to do great exploits in my name if you don’t allow me to fix you internally. I AM soon to return. Don’t squander any more of your daylight hours kicking and fighting the wind. If you need courage, ask me and I will give it to you. We can Win Your Battles Together. You are NOT ALONE! COME! Jeremiah 29:13 say’s:
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Luke 17:21 say’s,
…the kingdom of God is within you.
“You have Power! Rise! Pick Up Your Mat and Walk. I will be walking with you as you chose to win.
“The Kingdom Of God is Within You! Fight and Take Back What Rightfully Belongs to You. I Love You Eternally!
“Thus saith the Lord!”
